Up coming Events:
Sat September 18 - THE FRIDAYS SAT 18 SEPTEMBER

“Even us skeptics'll swear they've been in the presence of the harmony angels - make every day a Friday” Songcatcher, Radio Adelaide.
support- Kurt Jackson
$13 inc. booking fee standing room 8.30pm
$48 inc. booking fee dinner and show 6.30pm
The Fridays comment on the things that make you smile, the things that make you cry and the things that make you laugh so hard you wet your pants! These girls’ particular brand of acoustic folk rock music blends gutsy guitar riffs, sweet harmonies and tunes full of humour with their ‘no bullshit’ attitude to life, love and beer.
Fronted by Kimberly McKenzie and Kelly Breuer, ‘The Fridays’ have recently played at Feast Festivals ‘Picnic in the Park’, Adelaide’s Fringe and Fuse Festivals and are gearing up to release their debut EP September 2010.
The girls met randomly among music circles in Adelaide in early 2008 and felt an instant connection and mutual respect for one another, finding inspiration from Bonnie Raitt, The Waifs, Ani DiFranco, The Indigo Girls, Cold Chisel and Fruit to name a few .
The Fridays, now armed with full back line have recently graced the stages of The Gov, The Crown and Anchor, The Wheatsheaf Hotel and The Grace Emily and have taken their music regionally to extremely receptive audiences and have been bombarding the airwaves and print media with their witty comments and the all too often question , “What’s next for The Fridays?”
“We want to take over the world…just kidding, only portions of it – bite sized portions with gravy”. Rip it Up
And so The Fridays continue to fill rooms around Adelaide and have their sites set interstate. These girls are well on their way to wowing audiences around the country and look forward to promoting their philosophy of ‘No Bullshit, More Beer’.
