PERFORMANCE NIGHT
Let Yourself Go
The Performance Night celebrates performers of all incarnations on the FIRST Thursday of every month at the Palais in Hepburn Springs at 7.30pm.
Entry Fee is a mere $2.
Essentially an open-mike night, the Performance Night consists of a series of pre-booked 20 minute sets interspersed with 5 minute open stages.
Performers are welcome to pre-book a 20minute set, or just turn up on the
Night for an open stage. A full P.A and sound engineer are on board, so you
need only bring your talent and instruments.
The night first began in 2000 and continued monthly until 2004.
After a short break of 2yrs it returned to the Palais in June 2006 to rave
reviews.
It has over the years featured musicians, poets, dancers and performers of the bizarre, benign, supremely talented, sometimes misguided and always entertaining. It has also, on occasion, featured the odd famous sort.
As well as always being a damn fine show of variable and diverse talents, it is also a chance for performers to make themselves known to venue holders, and audiences throughout the region.
So come along, get up and strut your stuff or just enjoy an eclectic mixed-bag of entertainers in the ambience of the fabulous Palais Bar.
